TYRE SCRAP

PCR SHREDS

Passenger Car shreds, is acronym for PCR, produced from car and SUV tyres. The sizes vary from 50mm ( 2inch) to 250 mm ( 10 inch). PCR shreds are further processed to make 20mm steel free chips and steel is separated through magnetic separators and sold separately as steel.

TRUCK SHREDS

Truck shreds are manufactured from largely Truck tyres and also Bus tyres. These tyres are further processed to make crumb rubber. Crumb Rubber has wide variety of applications in Road constructions like CRMB ( Crumb Modified Bitumen) Crumb Rubber further processed to make Reclaim Rubber. Reclaim Rubber has wide applications like manufacture of conveyor Belts.

PCR 3 CUT

PCR Tyres are cut in to sidewalls and crown instead of shredding it.

TBR 3 CUT

Instead of shredding TBR tyres, they again are cut in to sidewalls and crown.

OTR SHREDS

Off the Road Tyres(OTR) are largely used in mining operations, after the usage these tyre go to landfill. Instead of Landfill, SDR has setup a First OTR processing plant in Chennai, India, during May 2018.

LMS ( Light Metal Scrap) - Tyre Wire,Mattress Steel.

Tyre wire is a by-product of crumb manufacturing process, Tyre wire are further processed and sold to steel companies where these are blended with High Metal Scrap.

Heavy Melting Scrap 1

Wrought iron and/or steel scrap 1/4 inch and over in thickness. Individual pieces not over 60 x 24 inches (charging box size) prepared in a manner to insure compact charging.

Heavy Melting Scrap 2

Wrought iron and steel scrap, black and galvanized, 1/8 inch and over in thickness, charging box size to include material not suitable as No. 1 heavy melting steel.

Plate & Structural Steel

Cut structural and plate scrap, 5 feet and under. Clean open hearth steel plates, structural shapes, crop ends, shearing, or broken steel tires.

Shredded Iron Scrap

Homogeneous iron and steel scrap magnetically separated, originating from automobiles, unprepared No. 1 and No. 2 steel, miscellaneous baling and sheet scrap. Average density 70 pounds per cubic foot.
